This has been a very informative conference. The first time I've participated in a conference via blogging. I think you've started something LaShaunda. I look forward to participating in more hosted by SORMAG.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 10. You've set a standard.

I think I learned the most on Friday talking about agents.

Which workshop was the most helpful? Self publishing

What would you like to see in future conferences?

How can we improve the conference?

I think the conference was wonderful. Nothing to immprove on.

And I'd like to add a HUGE thank you to Shauna and SORMAG. This conference was wonderful.

It also is a greater benefit than in person in that I can always come back later and reference anything I've learned here as well as pass it on to others.

BRAVO!!!!

How was your blogging experience? Great - I had no problems at all.

What did you not like about the conference? I can't think of anything I didn't like.

How often did you visit the conference? Most days, even if only briefly.

Which days did you enjoy the most? Sunday (Christian writing) and Monday (new writers)

Which workshop was the most helpful? My favourite was the one on developing characters.

Which workshop was the least helpful? I suppose I'd have to say the one on self-publishing but that is simply because I'm not interested in that at the moment, not because it wasn't good!

What would you like to see in future conferences? More fiction writing stuff (but that's my selfish view) such as how (and when) to write description; how to create a good setting; good beginnings that capture the reader . . . those sorts of things.

How can we improve the conference? I can't think of any way to improve the conference. It was great.

If you have any suggestions or more comments, please list them. None at the moment.

hi,

i give the conference a 10.

i am particularly enamoured of using the internet in new and creative ways AND being able to work from home. the ability to come into the conference at any time coupled with the wide range of subject matter really inspired me to see if this technique is transferable to some other projects that i am currently involved with.

i was particularly impressed with the way that you tried to incorporate the topic ideas that every sent you. that really shaped the conference to the subjects that participants were into.

i liked becoming familiar with new authors many of whom i hadn't read before. now i'm going to expand my roster of books-to-read to include quite a few new selections.

i enjoyed connecting with and hearing what the male authors had to say.

the prize give away was the bomb!

overall i'm looking forward to next year and making a donation to keep it going.

thanks alot for all of the hard work everyone put into this!

one more thing...i visited the conference everyday!

in peace,

hi,

i forgot to say that i wasn't a blogger and i'm still coming into it but this conference helped to make it a bit more practical for me. i couldn't for the life of me see why i would publish my daily diary on the web which i what most blogs look like to me. it seemed to be a extension of reality tv which i can't say that i'm a big fan of. but after seeing and using a blog in this conference i'm slowly warming up to the idea of blogging!

thanks again,

Did you enjoy the conference? YES!! Terrific material. :)

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate it? 10++ :)

How was your blogging experience? Great--no problems.

What did you not like about the conference? Sometimes you had to click around to find the topic, but it wasn't too difficult.

How often did you visit the conference? About four or five days through out the day.

Which days did you enjoy the most? All of them. :)

Which workshop was the most helpful? Promotions for me.

Which workshop was the least helpful? I don't know... everything was helpful in one way or the other. :)

What would you like to see in future conferences?
Maybe a chat room where we can talk to people live?

How can we improve the conference? Keep on going the way you're going... I think the blog idea is great and works well. :)

If you have any suggestions or more comments, please list them.

Way to go, LaShaunda! You rule!! Best of luck with future SOR conferences and publications. You will become Kathryn Falk's competitor in no time... :)

How was your blogging experience? It was okay.... see next question's response

What did you not like about the conference? Jumping back and forth through blog rooms. It got to be a bit confusing at times. I guess there was so much offered, I was trying to absorb every bit of it but time would not allow me.

How often did you visit the conference? once a day for the first 3-4 days of the conference.

Which days did you enjoy the most? All the days that I was able to visit

Which workshop was the most helpful? I enjoyed the character development info posted by Deatri King-Bey and Dr. Bob Rich

Which workshop was the least helpful? None

What would you like to see in future conferences? I would prefer the conference to be in chat style. It would make for better interaction but I suppose, the conference offered so much, the set up you had was ideal.

How can we improve the conference? See response to previous question.

If you have any suggestions or more comments, please list them.
LaShaunda, thanks for offering a venue such as this. I'm deeply sorry I missed the last few days of the conference, but from what I understand everything will be archived so I can browse through the events that I missed. Thanks again and I can't wait until next year's conference.

Love & Peace,
