LaShaunda Carruth Hoffman – is a wife, mother, caregiver and full time government worker. In her fantasy life she is the editor of Shades Of Romance – SORMAG. An award winning online magazine for readers and writers of multi-cultural literature.
My dream is to see my books on the shelves of bookstores and libraries. Meanwhile, I write Christian fiction and take care of my family.
My purpose in life is to introduce readers to authors and their books. I believe reading takes you into another world and that there is a book for everyone.
This book arrived the same month as my third child. It will always hold a special place in my heart, because its my first publication in book form. I’ve always wanted to write a story about romance and this story makes that dream come true. This story is a tribute to my husband, my friend and my love.
Her Story:
Falling in love has always been my dream every since I read my first romance. I was looking for my very own hero. When he came into my life I was engaged to another man and I tried to fix him up with a friend. Thank goodness I opened my eyes to see that my hero could also be my friend.

Patricia Woodside, a pastor’s wife, mother, and full-time business analyst, finally has begun to heed the whispers of her heart. Filled with book ideas for eyars, after an online writing class in 2001, she began to pursue her dream in earnest. Hooked, she quickly found an online writer’s conference, which became the launching pad for meeting and networking with fellow writers, learning more about the writing craft, and educating herself on the publishing industry.
In 2004, Patricia took a break from writing to relocate her family from New York to Florida. Shortly thereafter, her writing was further delayed by the birth of their fourth child. Patricia has since resumed her full-time vocation as a financial business manager, while writing in her spare time.
Patricia has written for online sites, including a pastor’s wives support newsletter. She had some early success with contest entries, including a short story designated “Notable Entry” in the 2003 N.E.B. Publishing contest and a non-fiction essay about coping with the stillbirth selected for the as-yet-unreleased “Hope Lives On” anthology by Obadiah Press. She currently writes book reviews for Shades of Romance (SORMAG) and Fresh Fiction, two online magazines. She has published several sweet romances in True Romance magazine, and most recently, her story of finding true love was included in “How I Met My Sweetheart” (February 2007; Amani Publishing), an anthology of inspirational stories.
Patricia resides in Tampa with her husband Bernard, senior pastor of Global Harvest International Ministries, and their three sons: Bernard Benjamin, Trevor, and Phillip. An avid reader—thanks to her schoolteacher Mom!—Patricia reads loads of romance and inspirational fiction. She plans to write both multicultural and inspirational romance—sometimes combining the two—and is currently at work on her first novel. She shares her reading and writing exploits on her blog at http://readinnwritin.blogspot.com.
Her Story:
I tried to write my tale as though I were writing any other short story. I wanted it to be entertaining, to draw the reader and keep her reading until the end. I wanted the reader to feel the drama and the comedy but especially the romantic aspects of our story. My husband and sister-in-law dispute one particular fact--you'll have to read it to discover what I mean--but I stand by my aging recall. It was my pleasure and a blessing to have this opportunity.

Thanks for hosting this blog tour, LaShaunda; to my fellow authors for their inspiring stories, and to Barbara at Amani Publishing for making it all happen.
This was my first contracted story (my e-book released first) and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
What a blessing!
Congrats to both of you for having your stories included in what seems like an uplifting and inspiring book about love. Much success to you both as you continue traveling your individual publishing journies.
Michelle
