Nicole S. Rouse was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended Temple University and received a degree in Elementary Education. As a teacher, Nicole heavily emphasized the importance of writing. Over time, her students learned to appreciate many forms of writing and Nicole rediscovered her own passion for literacy. A colleague recognized Nicole’s enthusiasm and encouraged her to “dream big.” For Nicole, that meant pursuing a career in the publishing industry. She is now a senior editor at a large educational publishing company. In her spare time, she mentors children in Chicago and they continue to “dream big” together.
