What would you like your readers to take away from your book?
That God is relationship.

And after prayer and devotion to God the most important aspect of our lives are the relationships we hold with others.

A spiritual teacher whom I met at Shelfari.com wrote:

Travel far--not only to make friends but to also shatter our own veiled existence…

--abu zhulixin

I offer my stories as experiences of travel so as author and readers we can begin to see who we truly are, not what and who the world tells us we should be. Then and only then can we begin to see others and the world as it is—and experience the miracle of a change our hearts and consciousness.

What have you learned throughout the process of writing, pitching - and now, promoting your book?

You have to stay honest—to and with yourself as a person and as a writer. The truthfulness you hold with yourself—accepting what your heart delivers and seeking to refine, not reshape that to what you think it ought to be or what will sell--will make your stories compelling, and help your stories resonate with readers.

People read to know they are not alone. Giving them who we through our characters lets readers know they are not.

This same authenticity will lend integrity to you as a writer and guide you in how best to promote your work.

What are three things you wish you'd known before you reached where you are now?

This is a hard one since I feel everything came when is was supposed to—that my work was published when I was best able to handle it—when I had attained the skills not only to write but know what I needed to work on in improving my craft and how to get help in doing that.

I wish had known how much people struggle with their writing and how impatient some people are to get their work out there, so much so that they make business decisions that are not in their best interest and that that of their creative spirit.

I wish I had known how important it is to trust your instincts in every part of your writing—not that you don’t need training and that there’s always room for improvement and to learn. I just wish I had known to trust myself—how to just let myself write and not get caught up in what others think—to just come from your heart. And that when you do. This is the most important aspect whatever your creative passion. Don’t be afraid to feel and to respectfully share those feelings with others. They’ll love you for it.

Then again I’m seeing evidence of that now—when I’m supposed to.

What aspect of writing do you love the best, and which do you hate the most?

I love revision—those aha moments when reading for the 5th or 20th time a story or novel I’m working on and having that aha moment went I begin to see the story that the universe is trying to tell me as a writer and a person. Then I know to have faith in the process, and that I am doing what I was sent here to do.

The hardest part for me is writing that first draft, particularly when getting to the middle part of a story—how to craft those steps leading up the transformation revealed at the climax.

I hate reading stories and novels that drag in the middle. And so I don’t want to write one. But neither do I want the pacing to go too fast so that readers miss what’s happening.

Writing the middle part of the plot line is definitely my greatest challenge. It’s also what I seek to refine. I’m always looking for ways to write a more moving and exciting middle. Meeting this challenge I know will make me a better author.

What's your secret to balancing career and family?

Prayer, love and a lot of patience.

A supportive husband and loving children are also immensely helpful. But they are God given, like all the stories I write. And so for me it comes down again to prayer and faith.

Keeper of Secrets…Translations of an Incident

When looking back is the only way forward.

Memories of the Hindu icon of dancing Siva compel wife and mother,
Raven Clarke, to intervene in the attack of one restaurant patron on
another.

And so one truth begets another as the tale of a passionate confrontation travels from eyewitnesses to others not present. Each protagonist views the attack through an emotion-stained lens, the story taking on a life of its own as filtered through different individuals’ pasts, presents, and futures. Ultimately, every character unweaves and re-braids their hidden truths and exposes the chain of inner mysteries that bind them.

FEATURED AUTHOR: Vina St. Fran

Vina St. Fran is the author of “One Foot Outside The Door”, her first novel published by Zam Publishing. She lives in the Midwest part of the United States. Vina has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a MBA in Strategic Management and is currently enrolled in a PHD program. She discovered and started writing at the tender age of seven. Writing is her passion and she is currently hard at work on her second novel that will be a follow-up to One Foot Outside The Door as part of a three series trilogy.

What would you like your readers to take away from your book?

I think as a writer it is important to enlighten a reader as they go on the journey with you in getting to know your story. I want my readers to enjoy One Foot Outside The Door, yet feel they have grown as a result of reading the book. I mean, in life, there are so many things that we think are good for us, but then we get hit with a curveball and find that everything wasn’t what we thought it would be. The biggest take away point is to keep an open mind and to expect the unexpected when it pertains to life and definitely love.

What have you learned throughout the process of writing, pitching - and now, promoting your book?

I have been writing for quite some time, so that aspect is quite natural to me. There is a lot of work that goes into pitching and promoting your product. Additionally, having an Internet presence is a must. I have a publicist that I am working with in 2008 and I am quite excited about that! I think that it is a learning experience to try to do as much as you can on your own, but if you have the financial resources, it is good to partner with someone who can help you. This affords me the opportunity of concentrating on what I do best, which is writing.

What are three things you wish you'd known before you reached where you are now?

The first thing is what a joy self-publishing is. I say that because I pitched my book to so many agents who offered to take me on as a client but they really didn’t follow through which is why I decided to go it on my own. The second thing is both writing and self-publishing are time consuming. You really have to be organized and have great time management skills to keep everything in order. Lastly, as both a reader and a writer, there is nothing more frustrating than seeing African-American or authors of color that are marketed into one category because they happen to be a minority. There are a wide array of authors who are writing stories that are edgier and don’t fall into traditional categories and as a result of that, they have a harder time marketing their book.

What aspect of writing do you love the best, and which do you hate the most?

Freedom is the biggest gift I receive as a writer. I can explore any avenue, and express myself just as freely as I choose to do so. Having creative freedom also keeps you stimulated, which is what you need to keep the creative juices flowing while inventing great stories and strong characters. What I hate most about writing is it indeed is a lonely profession. This means there are lots of things that I have to put on hold when I am working on a project for an indefinite period of time. As a writer, there are many periods of isolation that you go through in order to bring a book to life. I have a great support network of friends and family who are understanding and that is tremendous.

What's your secret to balancing career and family?

I have two secrets I'll share. A great bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot in the cabinet to help me chill out is one way that helps me destress. I’m pretty involved with my family and prioritizing helps me balance my career and family life. 2008 will be quite a busy year for me and I anticipate that maintaining this won’t be much of an issue.

One Foot Outside The Door

Cyndarella Worthy is a beautiful, 30-something African-American woman who owns a successful minority advertising agency in Southfield, Michigan. AUTHOR INTRO: J.M. Hochstetler

J. M. Hochstetler is the author of Daughter of Liberty and Native Son, books 1 and 2 of the American Patriot Series set during the American Revolution. Book 3, Wind of the Spirit, will release in January 2009. With her cousin, author Bob Hostetler, she is writing a novel based on the massacre of three of their Amish Mennonite ancestors on the Pennsylvania frontier during the French and Indian War, the Indian captivity of the survivors, and their eventual return home. She and her husband make their home near Nashville , Tennessee.

ONE HOLY NIGHT

On this bleak Christmas Eve, what God has in mind is a miracle. As on that holy night so long ago, a baby will be born and laid in a manger--a baby who will bring forgiveness, reconcilliation, and healing to a family that has suffered heart-wrenching loss.

Website address: http://www.sheafhouse.com/ (publisher); http://www.jmhochstetler.com/ (author)

What would you like your readers to take away from your book?

By the time they reach the end of the book, I want readers to know the depth of God’s love for them and that Jesus is their Savior. I want them to be assured that when we come in repentance, God forgives, no matter what the sin, and fully reconciles us to Himself and to others. And I want them to know that death does not have to be a tragic separation from those we love, but that for those who know and serve God, death is only a portal to eternal life together in God’s kingdom.

What have you learned through the process of writing, pitching, and now promoting your book?

Oh, too many things to mention! In writing, I’ve learned that when I focus on God and what God would have me to write, the stories come with power. In pitching, I’ve learned that the important thing is that I write the story God would have me to write rather than trying to tailor stories to what publishers are looking for. When there’s Holy Spirit power in the story, it’s going to get published one way or another. God’s word will not be void. And in promoting my book, I’m learning that the job is never done. It’s something you have to work on constantly. The Internet alone has opened up so many avenues for getting the word out, and the technology keeps changing at warp speed.

What are three things you wish you’d known before you reached where you are now?

First, that I would have saved myself a lot of fruitless effort by placing my focus on God instead of on the work He called me to do. God’s first purpose for our lives is that we know Him, and everything else flows from that. If you don’t get that in the right order, you’re setting yourself up for frustration.

Second, that the process itself is the most important part of this journey. When God calls someone to write for Him—or any other endeavor, for that matter—His purpose is first of all to change and renew that person through the process of obedience. And that learning process can only be effective as we focus on following Him instead of on doing the work.

Third, that I need to stay light on my feet and be ready to take those sharp 90 degree turns God has a way of dropping into our paths. That’s what happened when God called me to found my own small press to publish extraordinary fiction that glorifies Him. He had to nag at me for a while to get my attention, but one day the light finally dawned. And the moment I said yes, all sorts of crazy things began to happen. Anyone who says serving the Lord is boring obviously doesn’t have a clue!

What aspect of writing do you love the best, and which do you hate the most?

My favorite part is doing research and editing my rough draft. The part I hate is coming up with the rough draft.

What’s your secret to balancing career and family?

My kids are grown and out of the house. Seriously, that’s a huge factor. I have no idea how mothers of young children who are published maintain their writing career. I didn’t get published until after my kids had left home. While they were at home, my writing time was always being interrupted by the urgent, if not always important, needs of my children and husband. Now, while I’m careful to set aside time for my husband, children, and grandchildren, my family no longer needs my attention on a constant basis. That allows me much more time to focus intensively on my writing projects and on developing my small press, Sheaf House.

What would you like your readers to take away from your book?

The importance of family and being true to yourself and who you really are. At the same time, I write because I love it, not to teach a lesson. If the reader can have a few laughs and a couple of hours of pleasure, I'm happy.

What have you learned throughout the process of writing, pitching - and now, promoting your book?

That I really wish I'd know what I wanted to be when I grew up before I had another whole career. Then I might have started trying to publish earlier in life and could have been writing that much longer.

What are three things you wish you'd known before you reached where you are now?

Write what you read (I know, trite but true, as I found out when I tried to write a sweet romance early in my career (Not a sweet romance kind of girl, my romance has to have extra spice thrown in like a murder, a ghost, maybe even an otherworldly creature.

Write through your first draft without revising. Then revise the finished manuscript. (I can kill a story trying to perfect the first paragraph.)

Write because you love the process of writing, not because you just want to have finished writing. (You spend lots of your life in the actual process.)

What aspect of writing do you love the best, and which do you hate the most?

I love the actual writing, especially when it flows and when I get a hand written note from the lady who delivers the newspaper, saying how much she is enjoying the story. Now that's cool.

I don't always love the 10th revision because by then I'm seeing what I think should be there and not what I actually write. Then there are the business aspects like marketing. Takes time from the actual writing.

What's your secret to balancing career and family?

There's no secret but one thing that works for me is trying to be organized, haveing goals, daily word counts, an outline or roadmap of some kind. Then I don't get lost in the middle.

eTOUR: LaConnie Taylor-Jones

EDITOR's NOTE: You all missed a treat last night. We chatted with LaConnie and it was a blast. She shared her journey to publication and some tips on the business of writing. It was so much fun talking with LaConnie. One of the questions I asked was if the song When I’m With You by Tony Terry inspired the title of her book and to my surprise it did.

It is always a treat to help promote someone who is excited about their book and passionate about writing. LaConnie's enthusiam helps me remember why I promote writers and their books.

I know you’re going to call her books keepers. I look forward to reading this book and the one coming out next year. If you haven’t picked up her book, what are you waiting for?

LaConnie Taylor-Jones holds advanced degrees in community public health and business administration and has written several scientific research publications for the past fifteen years. When not writing, she’s involved with the Contra Costa Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the African American Community Health Advisory Committee, and Black Women Organized for Political. An active member of the San Francisco Area and Black Diamonds chapters of RWA since 2003, Ms. Taylor-Jones has combined her writing skills with a twenty-five-year passion for reading romance in the completion of two full-length multicultural romance novels, When I’m With You and When A Man Loves A Woman.

What aspect of writing do you love the best, and which do you hate the most?

I absolutely love sitting down in front of a blank computer screen and begin the process of bringing my characters and story plot to life. I’m very meticulous with this process because it’s important for me to give my readers a quality product. I want them to not only enjoy the story but understand the characters and their plight the way I do. Believe it or not, I also enjoy working on the revisions from my editor. She’s fantastic and so far, we’ve been able to work in total sync to take my writing to the next level.

Perhaps the one thing that I can live without is the tight turn-around deadlines I face once my book enters the production process. Sometimes, my revision deadlines come at a not-so-convenient time!!!

What do you feel is the key to writing convincing characters?

An author must know every aspect of their characters. I don’t simply mean know their external characteristics (i.e. physical make-up), but an author must be intimately familiar with their internal characteristics - their thoughts, their likes, dislikes, and what they would and would not do in certain situations. Once this happens, it’s very easy to translate this on to paper to the point the characters become so vivid, readers momentarily have a hard time figuring out what’s real and what’s Memorex.

What should a new writer know about the publishing business?

Aspiring writers should be aware that the publishing industry doesn’t move at the speed of light, so patience must become their best friend. It could take several weeks, if not months, for an agent or editor to make a decision on whether there’s an interest in their work.

What inspired you to become a romance writer?

I’ve been an avid romance reader since I was a junior in college. In fact, I flunked an organic chemistry mid-term because I stayed up all night to finish reading my first romance novel. So, let it go on the record that the genre chose me!!

How do you feel about critique groups?

I feel critique groups can be extremely beneficial to an author, but authors must be willing to accept the feedback that’s given — good, bad, or indifferent. All too often, an author only wants to hear the positive feedback relative to their stories and sometimes become testy when the group offers suggestions or recommendations for improvement. Conversely, critique groups should provided unbiased feedback, regardless to how well they know the author.

What is a favorite book from your childhood?

There are two: The Scarlet Letter (Nathaniel Hawthorne) and The Catcher In The Rye (J.D. Salinger)

What was the last book to keep you up at night reading it?

The Hunted by L.A. Banks. It’s an awesome read and one I highly recommend!!!

What was the last movie you saw?

Oh, my, with four kids, I’m afraid I’m into kiddy movies these days!! The most recent was Walt Disney’s Enchanted.

What's your secret to balancing career and family?

Learning to prioritize. Oftentimes, this means saying N-O to requests at the bottom of my meat chain and not feeling guilty for doing so.

What do you do to make time for yourself?

Weekly visits to the beauty salon and monthly appointments to get the nails and toes pretty. Sometimes, I manage to treat myself to a ninety-minute deep tissue massage.

How can readers get in contact with you? (mail, email, website)

I always enjoy hearing from readers. My website address is: www.laconnietaylorjones.com. Also, readers can follow the link on my contact page and drop me a note via e-mail at: lovestories@comcast.net.

Plus, there’s also my snail mail address, which is 3377 Deer Valley Road – Antioch, CA 94531

AUTHOR INTRO: Wynter Cuthbert

Wynter Cuthbert

The last of five children, Wynter Cuthbert grew up in Orlando, Florida and is married to her soul mate, Darrell Cuthbert. Together they have four children, J’Tangela, Stephen, Darius and Kirsten.

She attends Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and is active in the church’s Couples Ministry. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, research her family’s genealogy, read, and bake. Her genealogy research has afforded her the privilege of meeting hundreds of relatives she never knew existed and has taken her to the rural parts of Southwestern Georgia and Alabama. It was her research, the wish that her ancestors not be forgotten and the encouragement of loved ones that prompted her to write “Eliza’s Dream: A Memoir of a Southern Soul.”

What would you like your readers to take away from your book?

I suppose there are a few things that I would like my readers to take with them:

The first is that everyone's family has a history that is worth researching and knowing.

The second is that, for the most part, no matter how bad things are in our lives our ancestors lived in much worse situations and conditions. Yet, they were able to maintain their faith in God, have hope for a better tomorrow, teach their children to seek an education and work hard to improve their lives and that of the generations to come. We should pass these values on too.

The third is that no woman should have to endure domestic violence; but as an adult you have a choice to stay or leave. Children don't have that same choice and by virtue of their exposure to it, their lives can be (and often are) endangered. Domestic violence does not occur in a vacuum--if it's happening to you, your children's lives are at risk too.

What have you learned throughout the process of writing, pitching - and now, promoting your book?

I learned that the publishing industry takes persistance because getting a book published isn't just about a person's ability to write; it's also about having the right connections.

What are three things you wish you'd known before you reached where you are now?

I don't really have too many things that I wish I had known because I always believe I am walking along the path that I am on for a reason--although the reason isn't necessarily known by me, there is still a reason. It is plausible that if I had more information I would've taken a different path (maybe even the wrong one). Since I like the person I have become and I love my husband and son, I don't wish about too many things. With that being said, here are two things I wish I had known:

1. I wish that I had known my family's history when I was a child; I think I would have been more disciplined and driven.

2. I wish I had known how difficult it actually is to have a book published. I would have tried to be better prepared.

What aspect of writing do you love the best, and which do you hate the most?

I love writing, but I actually hate typing--my wrists always end up hurting and I am not very good at it.

What's your secret to balancing career and family?

I am not sure that I know that secret myself. I just do the best that I can to avoid cheating anyone.

ELIZA'S DREAM

In 1889, Eliza Parker, the beautiful daughter of a bi-racial former slave and a Native American woman, was happy attending school and sharing childish confidences with her best friend, savannah. One day as Eliza and Savannah giggled and went about completing their chores, an older man, Jenkins Lee, called on Eliza’s parents. Suddenly, at the age of fourteen, Eliza found herself betrothed to a stranger and her dream of finishing school thrown away with the bathwater.

After thirteen years of marriage, Eliza has eight living children under the age of thirteen and is pregnant again. While her philandering, physically abusive and usually absent husband rambles in and out of their lives, Eliza finds herself sewing, farming and taking in laundry to support herself and her children in rural southwestern Georgia. When a handsome, attentive, former school friend (Sol) begins to show his interest and Savannah urges her to enter into a relationship with Sol, Eliza comes face to face with her belief in “’til death do us part” and a life threatening situation.

As Eliza struggles to do the right thing, life’s burdens and difficult plights cause her to question the meaning of life and all that it holds for her.

FEATURED AUTHOR: Bonnie St. John

**Please give the readers a brief bio on you the person and the writer. **

I have been known for being the first African-American to win medals in Winter Olympics as a ski racer...and that I raced on one leg against other women on one leg in the Paralympics. After finishing at Harvard, going to Oxford on the Rhodes scholarship, working for IBM and then on the White House economic team, I became a motivational speaker regularly speaking for companies like Pepsi, AT&T and Merrill Lynch. My achievements were recognized in a White house celebration for Black History Month this year and also with a quote on a Starbucks Cup! I was awarded an honorary doctorate for my life work as a motivator and named by NBC Nightly news as one of the "Five Most Inspiring Women in the Nation."

I have always loved books. When I was little, my disabled leg prevented me from jumping rope and running with other kids so I read books on the playground. Later when I became an Olympic ski champion, I read books on the chairlift in between runs. I always wanted to write my own. When I published my first book with Simon and Schuster and my two year old daughter saw her mommy's picture on the shelf in the bookstore, I was as proud as I could be. My own grandmother never went past the fourth grade and my mother was a school teacher who got her Ph.D. I know it made her happy to see me signing books sitting next to Walter Mosely at the national convention for booksellers!

**What inspired this book?**

I got the idea to write this book when I was praying in my usual morning routine. I was appreciating how much strength prayer gave me, and the irony that I motivate people for a living with my ski stories, but I can't tell them at a corporate event how important prayer is to me. I wondered, "How many women pray who I hear about in the news, whose achievements I admire, but we don't know about it? I would like to know if they pray, how they pray, and what difference it makes to their decisions as a mother, as a CEO, or as an actress, for example." So I set out to interview extraordinary women about how they pray.

**Tell us about your current book?**

In "How Strong Women Pray," I take you with me on my spiritual journey to learn about the power of prayer in the real world. I share intimate stories from some of America¹s most notable women including Maya Angelou, Edie Falco, Barbara Bush, and Kathie Lee Gifford, as well as some lesser known yet equally extraordinary: a Hurricane Katrina rescuer, an NYPD 9/11 first responder, a soldier in Afghanistan, and many others, stories that give you insight into the actual details--where, when, how long--of the way strong women use prayer to cope with challenges in their everyday lives.

Woven throughout these stories I also tell my own story of struggling to find strength in prayer. I don't just share stories about my achievements in Olympics and the White House--I open my heart to talk unflinchingly about my life as a woman: being sexually abused as a child, stuffing down my emotions, becoming a wife and mother, needing to heal the old wounds, divorce, and redemption through prayer.

This is not an instruction book with a formula for prayer, this is journey to the heart of how prayer really works in the world. It is a celebration of all the ways women pray: lying in bed, in the bathroom (its quiet), dancing, out loud in the car, in nature, and more. This book helps you to find the way to pray that fits you and supports you as a unique child of God.

**What would you like your readers to take away from your book?**

Readers are coming back and telling me that they are renewing their spirit, their prayer life, and their connection with God! Many who had stopped praying get inspired by the amazing stories of these women and how prayer really makes your life better--personally and professionally.

**How long did it take from first word to sale? What were some of the steps along the journey? **

I got the idea and pitched it to a new agent I had not worked with before. He "got it" and suggested that I write up a few sample interviews. That took me about two months. He sold it in a couple more months. That is a very fast turnaround. My first book took over a year to get the proposal right and sell it. Once I started writing "How Strong Women Pray" it was almost two years until it was on the shelf.

The writing process began with trying to get all the interviews which was really difficult. Most people (never mind celebrities) aren't comfortable talking about their personal prayer life. I enlisted the help of many friends. At times I felt like giving up because I wasn't getting enough famous names. When I finally turned it over to God and made it about God and not about the famous names...a number of interviews came through. When things like that happened it was so clear that it was God who could do this, not me alone.

I ended up getting a new editor halfway through the process. She suggested that I write every other chapter about my personal prayer journey. That was tough! I didn't want to! She made me reach deep inside and I learned things about myself I didn't know in the process. Thank God for a great editor.

**What have you learned throughout the process of writing, pitching - and now, promoting your book?**

Do you have four hours?

One important lesson about promoting a book is that going to bookstores for
signings doesn't work very well unless you are a household name. On my first book I tried to set up signings, get morning news, send mailings, etc. For each booksigning it was too much work and money to make it work on my own.

This time around I partnered with organizations for each book signing event. For some organizations I spoke at their regular monthly or annual meeting and the bookstore brought the books on site. That way the organization is doing the mailings, the ads, and working with local publicity.

In other places we did do a signing in a bookstore, but we worked with a local organization to publicize it.

**Any exciting things happening before or during the time period while
the book is releasing?**

In conjunction with the book I launched a web-based TV and Radio Show called "Live Your Joy" at my web site www.bonniestjohn.com. We provide short videos with interviews of life coaches, celebrities, spiritual directors who made a difference for me. Come and take a look!

I was on the Today Show--a wonderful boost for the book which pushed us up to number 48 in the rankings! Other great publicity this year was being honored in the Black History month celebration at the White House and being quoted on a Starbucks Cup!

**How much marketing do you do? What have you found that particularly
works well for you?**

I also enjoyed making the book tour about giving back. I am stopping at Shriner's hospitals in several cities because they gave our family for free all the medical care for amputating my leg and providing artificial legs from age 5 to age 19. So going to hospitals, inspiring kids, and thanking the staff is a wonderful part of the tour. Of course we look to get publicity for the hospital and the book along the way.

Similarly I partnered with National Brotherhood of Skiers Clubs in Detroit and Chicago to help get the word out for signings and to get publicity for the book and the clubs. The NBS gave me financial and emotional support that helped me get to the Olympics so celebrating with them along the way felt wonderful!

Stories about Shriners and NBS are in the book. I liked getting the word out about the good things both groups do. I also donated a portion of the books sold at the events to the kids in the ski club and the kids in the hospital.

**What are three things you wish you'd known before you reached where you are now?**

1) That publicity doesn't always translate into hits on my web site...
(now I know I need to use other tools to make that connection.)

2) How hard it is to cross over into mainstream with a book on Prayer! But God did it...Today show and a picture in "InStyle Magazine" were just two examples!

3) To know how loving everyone would be along the way. I had a lot of anxiety about going on tour and talking about the sexual abuse in my childhood. But everything turned out great.

**What do you do to make time for yourself?**

I pray! I also am not always taking care of myself as well as I should. My weight has gone up during the bookstour. I have done 32 appearances in about 18 cities in October and November. Plus over 30 radio shows, magazine interviews, and on-line interviews. So it is draining. But I will not maintain this pace. It is important to get a book launched well so that stores re-order after the first month (They did!). I will make self-care a high priority as the book tour winds down. You can't beat yourself up and expect perfection.

The great thing has been stopping along the way to see friends and family, getting prayed over ALL the time, and giving back. Those things have rejuvenated me immensely and made the book tour more impactful. Basically, partnering with God makes all the difference.
