In Loving Memory Davidae Y. Stewart

Davidae Y. Stewart AKA Miranda Parker

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call.
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day.
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah yes, these things I, too, will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seems all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now. He set me free.

When I opened up Facebook last Saturday, I was informed that a dear online friend had passed. Tears fell from my eyes as I remembered her posting on facebook she would have a pacemaker implanted on Monday, two days away. I was sadden she wasn't able to have this surgery and be with us a little longer.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Dee in person our relationship was online only. However the friendship we shared you would have never known it. She was a loyal supporter of SORMAG from day one. Anytime I needed a workshop presenter she was volunteering her time. I loved that she was willing to give back. Last year she and Shelia Goss offered a writing workshop. After the workshop was over the members were asked to stay in the group and they continued to mentor us in our writing.  Dee believed in our dreams and wanted to see us all published.
When you heard about Christian Fiction, Dee's name came up as a loyal supporter and author. I was truly excited to see her writing dream come true with the publication of her first book. I believed she was on her way to be a favorite author among the Christian fiction readers.

She was a big fan of Shemar Moore and created the Shemar Moore Show Viewing Party group on face book. We would meet up on Wednesday night and watch Criminal minds together. This was a drama series, and she turned it into a fun hot show. I don't think Criminal Minds will ever be the same for the members of this group.
I know I'm a better person and writer from having Dee in my life. Her legacy will live forever in her daughter Selah and in her books.

Thank you Dee for your friendship. You will be missed.

This poem is one of my favorite poems. It gives me comfort to know Dee is in a better place. If I could attend the services I would have liked to read it.

Over the weekend I stopped by Dee’s facebook page and read the posts from her many friends and family. I hope she knew how much she was loved and appreciated. She touched many lives and shared so much.

I believe that’s what life is all about doing good services.

She was an excellent writer who is now reading her stories to the angels. Rest in peace dear sister, you were a rare treasure and you made this earth a better place. God bless, but you can now get that blessing directly.

Dee was loved by many. That has been evident in all the beautiful, touching words that are being shared about her. May God bless and keep her daughter, Selah. Rest in eternal peace, Lady Dee!

I'm so very sorry for Dee's family. What a terrible unexpected loss. I met Dee online and she was such a delightful woman and author. I know she is with the Lord, but this is hard.

I'm not familiar with Dee's work, but I was stricken with sadness of her passing. What a beautiful photo posted of this young woman- all prayers to her family and friends

When I first joined the Prolific Writers Network I would post weekly excerpts from my novel for critique and correction. Dee offered some nice compliments and insight that I have to this day. She understood that as a more polished writer she had something to give back, namely a helping hand. She is a talented and dedicated wordsmith who will be missed. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear this, especially thinking of Dee's daughter. When she handled some PR for me a few years ago, her little girl was always close at hand when we talked and clearly the center of her world. Dee was very knowledgeable about the industry and about leading-edge tactics e.g. social media. Her sharing spirit will be greatly missed.
