An angel's work is never done. That's what angels-of-death Ayanna and Rachel learn while waiting at the bedside of Alexander Johnson. Worried that his beloved grandson, Patrick, will be alone, Alexander refuses to cross over. The patriarch clings to life, fighting with everything in him to stay in this world and near the one person he loves.
Although she dumped him, Patrick has never stopped loving his college sweetheart, Vanessa. Separated through the maneuvers of his grandfather, Patrick stays at his only living relative's side while silently wishing for the love, presence, and support of Vanessa. Through angel magic, Patrick and Vanessa reconnect. Both are suspicious of the feelings they still share. It's going to take all of Ayanna and Rachel's angel powers and skills to reunite this couple and restore their faith in love and each other while helping Alexander Johnson take his final journey.
