Journey With Me to Jesus
Each day is considered a gift, so treat yourself to the best gift of all, a stronger, more capable, and spiritual self. Journey to Jesus With Me is a daily devotional written by Rose Jackson-Beavers to 1) encourage you to look inwardly, 2) think about the things that might have been imbedded in your subconscious, and 3) motivate you to make changes in your present.
For
30 days, this book guides the readers with a prominent daily scripture that
will allow each person to address past thoughts with current actions. You will
not go on this journey alone as Rose Jackson-Beavers relives some of her
moments. Through transparency and faith, Rose shares lessons that her mother
instilled in her and how she incorporated those lessons into her life. She also
shares a corresponding scripture to help those who desire encouragement and
help to think of those things.
During
a time of such harshness, this book was written to build the reader up, and
give you a fresh start to each day, no matter how the previous day has been.
Within 30 days, allow yourself the space and the opportunity to put your spiritual and emotional life first, and aim to fix the things that might be hindering you. As you go through each day, with Rose Jackson-Beavers, allow the scriptures, anecdotes, and thought-led questions to speak to you as you continue to pursue the trials of life. As each day passes, you get stronger, until finally you have your own stories to reference and build yourself up.

Why did you choose to write books?
I am a person who writes to release stress. As a young
person, I loved to journal my feelings. I always felt better when I wrote down
my concerns, fears, and problems. It was as if I could feel the pressure
lifting out of my body, and I felt peace. I also loved visiting places in my
dreams, so I wanted to write about travel, love, and drama. As a shy person, I
found comfort in traveling with written words. I wouldn't have had the courage
to travel across the country because of my inability to fly for more than five
hours. Writing can be good for self-care and helps to deal with stress.
What is your most proud moment as an
author?
When invited to travel to other cities through my
sorority as an author for their yearly tour. I haven't done it since COVID, but
I love visiting other states and meeting my sorority sisters if the flight is
under 5 hours. When people say they read my work, enjoyed the story, and give
me kudos, I feel a sense of pride for accomplishing my goals.
Why should a reader read your current
book?
We are going through some difficult times, and
sometimes we, as Christians, may feel that God has left our side. I want people
to take this journey with me to Jesus and read my experiences and work on the
activities, and they will see that God never left them and that He was with
them the entire time. When you can relate to other people's experiences, it
will open your eyes to see that God was always with you. Participating in the
activities will remind you that God brought you through your challenges.
What do you think will be your writing
legacy?
That I helped people become authors. I published over
fifty authors and more than 100 books and worked with close to 200 authors
giving advice, coaching, or presenting information to them in seminars. Also,
self-care is essential to your well-being and can include writing, reading,
participating in activities, and just doing something that brings you joy.
What advice would you offer an author
whose book is releasing next week?
First, I congratulate the writer and let them know
that it is a considerable achievement and do all they can to get the book to
readers. That may cost you, but if you want readers to know you and purchase
your work, you must invest in marketing. Then I will take the advice myself. Secondly,
I would ask if they created a plan and worked on it for six months. If you
didn't, you still need to do it because your book will never be too old for new
readers of your work.
