BUSINESS UNUSUAL -- Linda F. Beed

Bernadette Lewis is a woman no one will ever define as usual. Known purpose set her on the path to fulfilling destiny at a young age. The light that illuminates her every step comes from within. Without apology she walks with confidence and humility.

Fully satisfied with life, there is no room for distractions. She seems to have it all, but she is a living example of the adage, ‘all that glitters is not gold’.

On a personal front Bernadette is faced with dealing with the type of man her father warned that she would one day meet. Hayes Davis is that man. Learned accomplished and walking confidently in who he is, Hayes is the man at the top of most women’s resume for a husband. In spite of his glowing outer appeal, it is his inner man that must withstand the challenges that will be key to his pre-ordained walk.

The decision as to what she must do regarding the insubordination of a key employee, Falimah Meyer, causes Bernadette to revisit the vision of her company and her fourteen-year-old pledge. As she seeks to move forth she must exercise caution as she interacts with another employee, Treva Scott.

Treva is often on the short end of Falimah’s unpredictable personality swings. As she searches for her true niche in the world, her option of choice places her at the crossroads of her future.

Added to the whirlwind of change for Bernadette is the forced re-acquaintance with her maternal grandmother; a woman she has ritually despised.

Business Unusual invites the reader to walk with its characters as they process through life. Within that process the characters will touch and be touched by friends, family and those they meet along the way.

BUSINESS UNUSUAL
A story about forgiveness, obedience and the option of choice.

I have self-published five books and have a new release coming out next month titled, Courtney's Collage, with co-author Sherille Fisher. I've also published two other non-fiction titles earlier this year. One is the "How I Met My Sweetheart Anthology" and the other one is titled "A Writer's Guide to Self-Publishing and Marketing." The guidebook gives detailed information on how I write, self-publish, and market my books. For a detailed listing of all my books, please visit my website at: www.Barbarajoewilliams.com

The first book I got published, was self-published through Booklocker. It's titled, "Forever Until We Meet" and is available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com

BLURB:
For anyone who ever thought they found their soul mate online.

A woman faces a lonely life in a small town after her daughter leaves home and decides to spice up her life by letting loose on a computer bulletin board. An innocent to computers and messaging, she falls prey to a career "knight" of the computer realm.

Feel her love, pain, and disappointment as she meets this man and discovers what so many others have already known, that for this man love is only skin deep.

Follow her tormented path from small mountain town to sandy beaches as she finds out that to love someone you must find that love inside of yourself and then it's only a short sprint to forever.

Sigh, laugh, and cry with her as she makes peace with her past and puts it behind her, forever.

You can read reviews and an excerpt from the book on my website at www.vickimtaylor.com

Hi Everybody,

I'm Kathy J Marsh and my book, The Aura of Love, is a romantic suspense with a supernatural twist. I'm going to post the synopsis below, and then a couple of blurbs about it from readers.

An introduction made…a new love born…society, families, and friends against it. A new power appears…a secret told…a culprit revealed. Will love survive? Will they survive?

As Remy struggles to come to grips with her feelings for Jace, an Auralite of a different type, she has no idea that "one of their own kind" is revealing their existence, in a succession of dreams, to a world-renowned journalist. The hunt is on to find the culprit once the journalist reveals the dreams as a series of fictional accounts in a national magazine.

Just as Remy starts to accept Jace, the guilty party is revealed to be someone they both know and love. They are now compelled to find the journalist before their ruling body, The Council, does…or the results will be disastrous. Does the hunt strengthen them, hurt them, or rip them apart?

An amazing new voice with a brilliant, otherworldly concept that takes you deep into the issues of race, class, and gender.
~L.A. Banks, author of The Vampire Huntress Legends series

Kathy J. Marsh’s The Aura of Love is thought provoking, funny (I laughed out loud), and subtly sexy. Fast paced, it and held my attention until the very end.
~Reviewed by Terri E. Williams of Sisters Sippin' Tea Literary Group - Tulsa Chapter, Inc
SST Rating 8 Page-turner - add this book and others by this author to my collection! (Recommended reading)

Thanks for reading!

I have one self published book its called 'The Scarred Man's Heart' and it is available at Amazon.com.

Synopsis:
Cameron Luciano inflicts fear into those who see him, as he bears an ugly scar on his face. People think of him as a monster, and Cameron prefers it that way. Cameron cannot let go of his past and refuses to forgive himself or seek forgiveness from others. Stacy Phillips is new in town, with a few haunts of her own. The last thing she needs is to get involved with someone like Cameron, but after a few unfriendly encounters, Stacy is drawn to him. She wants to show him that God can forgive him for his past, but Cameron refuses to hear anything about her God. As Cameron tries to resist his feelings towards Stacy, trouble strikes, and Cameron must face his past or lose the woman he loves. Will he accept God's forgiveness? Is there hope for this scarred man's heart?

I think self publishing can be a very good thing, but I also think you must be aware of who it is you are going with when you do self publish. Be sure to research the place because there are some out there with a bad reputation.

Good luck to all those who have self published! :)

Greetings,
I am Alethea Pascascio, public speaker and author of Bag Lady and Help Wanted: A Woman's Guide To Strategically Position Men In Her Life. Bag Lady was my debut novel and did extremely well. It is currently required reading at two major universities. The story is like no other and has been considered 'self-help fiction'. The main character, Faith Donnovan is a woman who deals with a childhood of drama and dysfunction that she unknowingly carries as baggage into her adulthood. As she travels through life looking for love and acceptance in all of the wrong places, she realizes that her heavy past is what's dragging her down. Faith's life catapults to another level when she forgives everything and everyone in her past who has harmed her. It is truly a life changing read for both men and women.

Help Wanted, on the other hand, is a small book that has helped and continues to help many people (not just women) learn to set boundaries in their lives. It helps everyone ponder what the type of relationships they really want and set the expectations for them. It examines three levels, friend, boyfriend, and boyfriend with husband potential. Aren't we tired of promoting the wrong man from friend to boyfriend and boyfriend to husband? Let's have more discussions (interviews) that will assist us in giving the right man the right job.

Many people have used the discussion questions in the book with significant others, potential sinificant others and even their children.

My experience with self-publishing has been wonderful. I can write and publish the stories that would otherwise remain private words on the pages of a Microsoft Word Document. Having to handle every aspect of the process can often be challenging and is quite time consuming- but well worth it.
