Hi everyone--
I think I heard about this online conference at Blogging in Black; I think it's a great idea. This is my first time attending.

I'm a freelance writer and have been making a small but steady living at it for the past 11 years. I've done a lot of day-job/pay the bills writing. I've had articles, essays, and short stories published, but my dream is to be a published novelist.

I finished the final draft of my debut novel earlier this year and sent out dozens of queries. After a lot of rejections, one agent requested chapter one (yay!), so I'm waiting word on that. In the meantime, I'm working on novel #2 and short stories as well. I write literary fiction.

I live in Northeast Florida.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Shoba Mano. I'm a writer from Malaysia. So I just might be the farthest participant or at least come close to it. Heh heh.

I have written two romance novels and finishing a third one. Information on my books can be found at www.shobamano.com.

I also write for Malaysia's leading newspaper, The STAR. You can read my articles at this link:

As I live so far away, I can't physically participate in many of the writers' conferences in the US. So I must thank LaShaunda for coming up with this wonderful online conference, giving people like me an opportunity to interact and learn so much from the workshops and other writers.

Hello. My name is Candida and I live near Glacier Park in the beautiful state of Montana . I am married with 2 step-children, 2 cats, and right now we have 11 dogs (8 of those are puppies and boy are they cute). I have always had an enthusiasm for reading books. When I find a book I want to read over and over again, I get the urge to write my own short stories. But other than a poem or two, I have never had anything published. However, recently God has laid it upon my heart to put my passion for books to His use. My goal is to write something that will bless others.

This conference is a blessing and I look forward to learning all I can from it. It's is a pleasure to meet you all.

God Bless!!

I'm in the process of querying agents and publishers, while working on book number 3 and 4.
Donna, you're not alone. I only logged on yesterday and am still kicking myself for missing this conference. From reading some of the previous days schedule, I can see that I missed some very worthwhile discussions. I'm just disappointed that I'll have to wait TWO years for the next conference.
