Interview:
What inspired your book?
We were inspired to share little known group travel tips and
industry secrets to help travelers realize its ease and benefits.
What would you like readers to take away from your book?
I want them to realize that they can travel stress free as a
group and the many benefits that come from Group Travel. It is possible and
profitable!
What did you learn while writing this book?
It was a lesson in persistence. Actually writing a book and
going through the editing process is more than I expected.
What are three things you wished known before you reached
where you are now?
I wished I knew the importance of pre-launch activities for
the book. I would have liked to be more proficient in Canva for book marketing
graphics. I wish I connected with authors to network learn from those who have
gone before. For example connecting sooner with “See Ya On The Net Promotion
Group” in Facebook.
What advise would you offer to someone whose first book is
about to be released?
Have a To Do List and or Action list and have a marketing
plan in place. Don’t wait for the book to be released to begin marketing. Begin
Pre-Launch activities now!
What’s the most interesting change in your life as a result
of being a published author?
I would say it has given me increased confidence.
What are your three favorite social media platforms and how
are you using them for promotion?
Facebook, Twitter and Periscope are favorites of mine. When
I scope my goal is to increase my list with a free offer. I post a graphic of
my book with the book info link. I need to be more consistent on social media
and increase my offline promotions.
Oprah always asks what do you know for sure?
I know what a blessing my heavenly Father and Lord and
savior, Jesus Christ has been in my life.
If someone told my younger self that I would be a published
author one day, I would not have believed them.
To God be the glory great things He has done!
Anything you would like to say to the readers of SORMAG?
No matter where you are in your book writing journey, don’t
give up. Be persistent. Take one-step and one day at a time, to move toward
your goal and your purpose.
