Good morning. Have you updated your profile on Author Central? If not, be sure to keep it updated. Here's a link: https://authorcentral.amazon.com/gp/home?ie=UTF8&pn=irid3718536

Kindle Direct Publishing has changed the publishing industry.

For the first time since the beginning of publishing an author can publish her own books and receive the majority of the income from those books.

Some indie authors has sold enough books to become bestsellers.

I have put up 5 titles myself even though I continue publishing with a traditional publisher. That makes me a hybrid author.

Uploading a book to the KDP Platform is not difficult. But one should look into the books LET'S GET DIGITAL and LET'S GET VISIBLE by D Gaughran before jumping into it.

Hope this helps!

Lyn, I'm a hybrid too :)

If you have older book titles, you may want to consider putting them up on Kindle. It'll introduce your older books to a new audience. Uploading to Kindle is easy.

Prior to uploading however, make sure your ebook is professionally done (editing/cover/layout). You can either do those things yourself our outsource.

When you get ready to upload, make sure your ebook price is competitive.

If you have any questions, I'll be off and on all day checking.
Thanks
Shelia

I agree with Sheila.

But make sure you understand categories before uploading your book. I've already suggested 2 great ebooks. But also visit Joanna Penn's blog and JA Konrath's. You'll be glad you did!
