Two Hearts In Love

It’s amazing how we give up on finding true love when we reach a certain age in life. Okay, so you’re set in your ways. Or you think there’s no one really out there for you. Better yet, you think you have nothing to offer because you’re not perfect at your age. Who is?

Your chance at love could be there staring you in the face, and what do you do, ignore it behind all of your foolishness. I’m on a cane, I have arthritis, going bald, overweight. Lord you name it!

Thank God, your heart has a mind of its own and led you in the right direction, to your forever love.

John Henry Randolph has been in love with Madelyn Jacobs far too long. He had given advice to his boys as to how to claim their chosen woman.

Even bragged about him setting the groundwork to claim his. He found out it was easier said than done. Madelyn Jacobs was making it hard for him because of valid reasons, she thought.

Nevertheless, the heart wants what the heart wants, and eventually will have its way.

Truth. Blaire "House Honey" Sommers has always found Julian Phillips disarmingly handsome. Who wouldn't? A towering, broad-shouldered specimen like him.

Unfortunately, the man is a little too weird and quiet for Blaire's taste. When he deigns to speak, he often takes too long to respond to simple questions. What's up with that? Not to mention, he's the master of the tight-lipped "struggle" smile.

When he approaches Blaire for help finding his next home, she could palm him off on a colleague. Intense curiosity about this enigma of a man drives Blaire to keep him for herself. Just as a client. Don't get it twisted. She's a real estate TV star willing to give this hunk the friends-and-family treatment.

Never in his life has Julian Phillips met a woman so friggin' chatty! But that motormouth of hers is just one feature on a gorgeous face. And those boom-boom curves... Mercy! Plenty of goodness for a man to hold on to.

Julian has spent a while observing her from a comfortable distance. He's aware of the games this bombshell plays with men who make the mistake of falling for her.

Still, he doesn't have a problem seeking her professional advice, now that he's in the market for another home and a little hot fun. A more unsuspecting dude could get snared in a honeytrap like that.

If nothing else, Julian is careful.

Author Spotlight - Sylvia Hubbard

Detroit native, Sylvia Hubbard, a former single mother of three, has worked tirelessly to promote and encourage emerging writers in Michigan. She independently published her first romance novel in 2000 and has continued to write in that genre, sometimes venturing into other subgenres. Always urban and contemporary styled, her writing is enjoyed all over the world. She has published over 45 books (paperback & ebook)

The same year she published, Ms Hubbard also created Motown Writers Network to fill the lack of education and networking for Michigan authors online and offline. By 2004, she was frustrated that all the literary conferences had moved too far away from the city and co-created The Essence of Motown Literary Jam Conference held only in the City of Detroit annually.

In addition to romance writing, Hubbard has been featured at various conferences and workshops all over the United States and Canada, where she has taught authors how to sell their books on the Internet. She also published Internet Marketing for Writers & Businesses as a resource for those unable to attend her workshops. In the upcoming year, she will be featured in several anthologies and plans to publish additional e-books.

"I'm no superwoman," she states with a smile that seems infinite on her lips. "I'm just being an asset in the world instead of a liability."

Considered an addicted blogger by, nominated and recognized for her literary work in the Metro Detroit area, referred to as "A Literary Diva" by Detroit City Council and donned "Cliffhanger Queen" by her readers, she finds solace in speaking and educating on a variety of topics.

Her subjects range from Creative Intimacy, Single Parenting, Blogging, E-Books, Publishing (all aspects i.e.: writing, publishing, marketing & promoting online & offline), and personal triumphs with inspiration mixed in.

Never a disappointment, Sylvia Hubbard, has spoken in front of thousands all over the United States and Canada & has recently married her best friend residing still in Detroit in a Habitat for Humanity Home.
