AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - Meet Yahrah St. John

Yahrah St. John became a writer at the age of twelve when she wrote her first novella after secretly reading a Harlequin romance. Throughout her teens, she penned a total of twenty novellas. Her love of the craft continued into adulthood. She’s the proud author of thirty-nine books with Harlequin Desire, Kimani Romance and Arabesque as well as her own indie works.

When she’s not at home crafting one of her spicy romances with compelling heroes and feisty heroines with a dash of family drama, she is gourmet cooking or traveling the globe seeking out her next adventure. For more info: www.yahrahstjohn.com or find her on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Bookbub or Goodreads.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME

I’m a couch potato.

What is life without General Hospital, Scandal bingefests and reality shows? And if you turn on Married at First Sight, 90 Day Fiancee or Temptation Island… good luck at getting me to leave my spot.

Foodie is my inner pen name.

I know I said I’m a couch potato, but I do love to go out... to eat! Did you know you can go to to Magical Dining in my hometown of Orlando and hit ALL the fine dining restaurants and get an app, entree plus dessert for only $35? I’d be a fool not to leave my sofa to indulge in such an experience like I have been every year.

Speaking of food and TV…

The hubby and I have a love language and it’s  called Food Network. Whether I’m in front of the stove with my dream chef hat on cooking up soul food or my favorite 20-year retired army veteran husband is the one donning the apron, together we've grown an appetite for trying our hand at making new and gourmet dishes.

Bon appetit!

It’s not always meat and potatoes around here.

Guess who’s an adventure junkie! ME! Sadly, my bestie Dimi passed away a couple of years ago, but many of my most beloved memories are when we tackled white water rafting, zip lining, parasailing, canoeing and kayaking together. With a husband who happens to be ex-military who lives for a good adventure just as much as I do, guess where we often find ourselves? If you said simulated sky dives, riding around on ATVs, and rappelling please step forward to collect your prize!

That’s because when I’m in… I’M IN!

When it's all said and done, the one thing anyone who knows me can also attest to is how focused I am. From the way I planned my own wedding to helping to build and furnish the home of my dreams, I can create tabbed spreadsheets that legends are made of. See, sitting on the sofa and slipping in some HGTV-binging between writing novels paid off after all. *winK*

Once satisfied with meaningless flings, the combat death of Navy SEAL Cage Mitchell’s best friend prompts him to retire from the military and look for deeper meaning in life. That includes pondering whether he’s ready for a wife and children.

What Cage doesn’t bargain for is falling for his younger brother Cameron’s girlfriend, Monae Williams. Monae, a sincere young woman, is passionate about working with foster children because she grew up in the rough-and-tumble foster system. She’s ready to settle down, but her boyfriend is more interested in seeking an Air Force promotion.

Honor and duty, the core of Cage’s character, prevent him from pursuing Monae; but when her relationship with Cameron ends, Cage tosses duty to his family aside. Usually guarded, Monae has fallen just as hard for Cage.

All sorts of fallouts ensue . . . but Monae has already seduced the SEAL, and there may be no turning back.
