Mix and Mingle 2

Welcome to another mix and mingle.

Please let me know how the conference is going for you.

Are you having problems reading the posts or posting to the posts?

Any suggestions to make it more user friendly?

My prayers go out to those who survived Hurricane Wilma.

I am learning a great deal.

I love the mix of subjects and I love the dialogue going on here.

Posting is rather easy for me. I haven't had any problems as of yet.

Hi everyone,

I'm having orange juice tonight. Doped up from all the sinus medicine I'm taking.

If you didn't read my post at the other mingle, I'll update you on my week.

Computer died Saturday

Daughter had an ashma attack yesterday.

We both caught the cold from hell, felt like a mac truck ran us over.

I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts. I see a few of you are doing some serious networking. That's great.

I guess I won't be getting my dance on this time, since my poor head is spinning. Don't get too close don't want to pass on these horrible germs. I wouldn't wish this cold on my worst enemy. I'm telling you my teeth hurt and I don't even have teeth there anymore.

I'm off to bed, see ya on the net tomorrow.

LaShaunda,

Thank you so much for organizing and hosting this wonderful conference! I have learned so much and everyone is so friendly and helpful! I've been starving for some kind of community, and this conference really gave me a space to ask some of those burning questions of people who actually have answers :-) I look forward to the remaining days/topics. I also look forward to reading some of the books penned by the people I've "met" this week.

I'm so sorry that you've had such a rough week -- I hope you feel better Soon!

Good morning everyone,
As I type this most of you are probably asleep and it's morning here in South Africa! Some of you folk are in my yesterday while I'm in your tomorrow! Weird thought!

LASHAUNDA, I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a rotten week and I hope that you and your daughter wake up feeling much better.

Thank you so much for organising this conference, you must have worked very hard to get it all together and running so smoothly. I appreciate it very much.

As I said in one of my other comments, resources here for writers are very scarce and the internet provides a life line for my writing life. Conferences like this are priceless.

One of the features that I really like is that the confernce operates 24/7. I often see online workshops advertised on my internet groups, but I'm not able to participate as they are in the middle of the night for me. I do read and enjoy the transcripts which are usually posted a couple of days later, but it's not the same as being able to participate actively.

PANELISTS Thank you so much for taking the time to share your expertise and knowledge with us. You are stars.

DELEGATES Hi there. It's great meeting you all. Enjoy the rest of the conference.

God bless

The only concern I have is that no matter what time I check the conference all the information is posted a day behind me and I am just nervous that i will miss something. Otherwise, I am enjoying it.

I am so sorry to hear you are down. The older I get the more I hate getting a cold cause I know what's coming and I have too much to do to have to deal with it--so know exactly how you feel. I sometimes take some jalapenos (the kind that are sliced for nachos) along with a cup of hot water with fresh lemon squeezed in it. I sip the hot water between bites of jalapeno.

My only suggestion is posting when panelists will be responding - only on their 'day' or since this is 24/7 as long as the blog is up? All week?

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to try to answer all questions in one responds.

Each day there is a different theme. The panelist have from 7 to 5pm to respond to questions. I did it this way because most panelist have a day job.

I put up the next day around 5/6pm. It gives you a chance to ask questions a day before.

Once the day is over, its over. The panelist shouldn't be answer any questions, no one should be asking questions. Its a new day.

If you missed a day, you're free to visit the rooms, but don't ask a question because it probably won't be answered.

Today's theme is self publishing.

You have all day to ask questions.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

I feel much better. Thanks for your well wishes. The Hoffman crew went off to work and school this morning. Hopefully whatever attacked us has gone on its way.

Enjoy!

I hope you get to feeling better soon, LaShaunda! We can't do this without YOU. :)

I'm enjoying the conference. This is an excellent format. And I will check my "old" panels the day after just to be sure everyone who asked a question received an answer.

If you want to ask me a question directly, email me at cynthianna@hotmail.com
